| Outline | This funding aims to support the general operating expenses of Gender Empowerment including part of the salaries of a part-time communications officer, a part-time community education and case manager, and an accounting clerk. The Gender Empowerment is a charitable self-led-self-help organization that supports the transgender community, providing support services to transgender individuals to achieve community self-help. Through the provision of appropriate information and resources, including setting up a hotline, peer support groups, counseling, and public education programs, it assists transgender individuals in adapting to the changes in their appearance, body, life, and social interactions during different stages of their gender transition, and encourages them to live actively in accordance with their own gender identity and gender expression, and integrate into society. It also provides support to the families of transgender individuals. |
