| Outline | Since 2013, Hong Kong Christian Council has promoted awareness of sexual harassment prevention in churches across Hong Kong. Over the past decade, through research and education, it has encouraged many churches to formulate their own policies. This project aims to use a mixed-mode research approach to understand the current state of policy formulation in churches. Through focus group interviews with various stakeholders (church staff, deacons, congregants, complainants, etc.), it will delve into the difficulties or ineffective areas in the policy's implementation. By referencing examples from overseas churches/community organizations in the literature review, the project will propose more appropriate actions, optimized policies and mechanisms for churches to prevent sexual harassment. The goal is to help church members increase their gender and power awareness. |
