Grant Amount(HKD) HKD$47,400
Concern Area Freedom from Poverty
Outline A survey conducted by Enrich in 2014 found that 90% of domestic workers have various levels of debt as they need to pay agency fees, and feeding their families. Financial education is one of the critical for migrant domestic workers to navigate out of they cycle of poverty towards financial independence. They supported lots of families in Hong Kong but we never consider their needs. This project will train foreign domestic workers to raise local people awareness on their financial education needs, and to create dialogues with various stakeholders to include foreign domestic workers in the government-initiated strategy for financial literacy.
